New Jersey sets i-Gaming partner deadline for 29th of June

The state of New Jersey has now announced that it has set a deadline of June 29th for those who wish to submit an application for licensing within the state for online betting. Those who fail to submit proposals prior to the deadline may forfeit receiving a license before the launch of internet gambling that is expected this fall in New Jersey.

This deadline is especially one of importance for those who operate offshore and must enter into some kind of an agreement with a casino that is licensed in Atlantic City. Licenses will only be given to those who operate a casino already in the state on land. In order for offshore companies to get in on the New Jersey launch they will need to have agreements in place before the deadline, which is fast approaching.

The deadline was put in place to allow New Jersey the appropriate time to do due diligence and run the correct checks on those who have submitted proposals. There are a few land casinos in the State that have yet to enter into agreements with offshore internet betting sites however a few made deals in advance of the anticipated law going into effect.
