                                                   Home of the Langway Cup!  

WHAT: The National Inline Hockey Open is an Outdoor Adult Inline Hockey Tournament.

WHEN: Played in the spring of each year.

WHERE: Greater Washington, DC.

WHY: Celebrate spring weather, NHL playoff hockey and good times! To play the game the way you played it as a kid if you weren't in a rink - outdoors!

WHO: Adult male and or female players ages 18+.

THE PRIZE: The "Langway Cup" is named for Washington Capital Great, Rod Langway, who played plenty of outdoor hockey in his developmental years.

2010 Recap:            1st time NIHO challenger Balfour Beatty Construction, took the title after going 3 - 0 in the round robin including a shootout win over Red Line H.C. Balfour took the final in the rematch against Red Line H.C. by a score of 5-1. Dave's Team took the consolation over the Goaldiggers by a score of 3-1.

2010 Post Game:       Lunch at Savannah's in Kensington for game 1 of the Bruins-Flyers Series.

2009  Recap:         Dan's Wings took the Cup winning the third and decisive game in the innaugural NIHO to take the Cup.
