WHO WE ARE

ABOUT THE PRESIDENT & FOUNDER: BOB DEGEMMIS
DeGemmis - The Coach
After spending the 2000-2001 hockey season as Play-by-Play Announcer and Marketing Director for the Springfield Junior Blues (IL) of the North American Hockey League, Bob moved permanently to the greater Washington, DC area where he has been a head coach, assistant coach or a co-coach for teams of various levels from 2002 through spring 2008.

During that period, Bob led the University of Maryland Women's team to their first ACHA Southeast #1 ranking and an ACHA National Tournament birth in 2005-2006. At the same time, Bob co-coached the Montgomery (MD) U14 Girls to numerous USA Hockey Southeast Championships and National Championship appearances.

In 2006, Bob began to dedicate more time to individual goaltenders and parents looking for ongoing goaltender-specific instruction and training. By 2008 the Red Line Hockey trade name was born and the rest is, as they say - history.

Since the inception of Red Line Hockey - Goaltending, Bob has worked with numerous advanced goaltenders that are at or near the junior or collegiate levels as well as young (and old!) goaltenders who are at the dawn of their careers.

Bob is a member of the Ice Skating Institute and is a USA Hockey Master Coach. His thesis paper was on the topic of team uses of multiple goaltenders at various levels.

DeGemmis - The Player
As a player, Bob was a Connecticut high school goaltending stats leader 1991-1995 and was a rare goaltender-captain for his junior and senior seasons at East Catholic H.S. - Manchester. As a high school senior Bob received the Hartford Whaler Gordie Howe Scholarship Award before playing Big East soccer at Villanova his first year followed by 3 years of VU Hockey in the now defunct ECAC South and then ACHA DI. DeGemmis was an ACHA All-American Honorable mention in 1998-1999. After college Bob participated in the Asheville Smoke (UHL) training camp through October 1999.
